One of the greatest athletes of all time in any sport, Jordan remains a household name in America. His accomplishments invite comparison, including with LeBron James, the NBA’s 32-year-old current superstar, now in his 14th NBA season.
Sports comparisons are always tricky because while Jordan ended his career after 15 seasons, he played three years of college hoops while James went straight from high school to the NBA. Jordan’s career was also broken into pieces with injuries, a short baseball career, and two premature short-term retirements.
Besides that, Jordan was a shooting guard, and James started his career as a point guard and now plays small forward. James, himself, says there is no similarity between their styles of play. Jordan was famous for his circus-like dunks and being a 10-time league-scoring leader, while James is more likely to run over opponents and has only won the scoring title once.
